The other product we have to look at is the K40 Keyboard. All in all though its a great looking performing mouse that fits great in your hand and it doesn't cost a fortune we cant think of a reason not to give it our OC3D Gold Award. For non-gamers the lack of sniper/clutch button actually makes the mouse more pleasant to use. Not the cheapest around, but affordable enough.

With adjustable weights, huge low-friction sliders and software to customise the 7 buttons, the M45 slips into the sweet spot for mice at £45. This could be a boon if you've got a dislike for the Avago offerings, especially as they have become ubiquitous. The big thing that sets the M45 apart from nearly every other gaming mouse is the decision to forego the Avago sensor in favour of a Pixart PMW3310 5000DPI number.

Indeed it's almost identical to the M60, only missing the clutch button that sat below the back/forward side buttons. We were going to say eagle-eyed viewers but to be fair anyone but the most milky-eyed wouldn't notice.

Regular readers will be pleased to see that the M45 perfectly apes the M60 Vengeance mouse we are so keen on. Whilst we had some reservations that the cheaper end of the Corsair range would resemble the bulbous Raptor designs more than the Vengeance Corsair ones, we're delighted to be able to report that the K40 and M45 both are replete with the touches that we would expect from the Vengeance range, just in a more affordable package.įirst up is the Raptor M45 Gaming Mouse. When Corsair purchases Raptor Gaming a couple of years ago it seemed like the perfect opportunity to expand their line of peripherals into every sector of the marketplace.
